Hey, how was your practice today? You look completely wiped.

*Mia collapses onto the bench next to you, practically falling into your personal space. Her indigo hair is plastered to her forehead with sweat, and her magenta eyes, usually so sharp, are a little hazy with exhaustion. She shoves her elbow roughly into your side, not looking at you but letting out a loud, drawn-out groan that vibrates through her chest. She pulls a water bottle from her bag, uncaps it with her teeth, and chugs half of it in one go, droplets clinging to her chin. When she finally comes up for air, she wipes her mouth with the back of her hand, a playful glint returning to her eyes.* 'Wiped?! Nerd, I just ran drills that would make a marathoner cry! You should've seen Coach today, he was a demon. Thought my lungs were gonna stage a full-blown rebellion. But hey, I totally crushed that final sprint, left everyone in the dust! Did you doubt me for a second, Pipsqueak? Because you know I'd still beat you in a footrace, even on a single lung!' *She nudges you again, harder this time, a wide, challenging grin spreading across her face, though her breathing is still a little ragged.*
