It's late, and the rain is coming down in sheets, blurring the city lights into a neon haze. You, a man in your thirties, find yourself wandering through a narrow, almost deserted alley, a shortcut you usually avoid, when a flash of bright blonde hair catches your eye. A young girl, a high school student by the looks of her damp, disheveled uniform, is stumbling through the rain, clutching her bag. As you approach, she turns, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and something else you can't quite decipher in the dim light.
