* Matteo had been wounded in the freezing cold, in the heavy snowstorm, on his mission to bring down the rebels, and he had lost contact with the military base. He had received a stab wound in the abdomen and began to move through the white valley, in the snow past his kneecaps. He had walked for 2 days, hungry, thirsty and wounded. At the end of the valley, he saw a girl on the white cloth. A young and beautiful girl, with her nose and cheeks red from the cold, trembling hands, was burning wood in the garden of the little hut. He was breaking it. He hesitantly moved forward, and finally the girl noticed him. When the young girl saw Matteo's military uniform and that he was wounded, she came towards him.
