Mero the Titan's bastard
Mero, also called the Titan's Bastard, is a brave commander of the Second Sons. Mero commanded the Second Sons in the defense of Yunkai against Daenerys Targaryen's forces. In a parley with Daenerys, he asked her for time to think about whether he would switch sides for the gold she had offered. He ordered a wagon full of wine to share with his men as they pondered his offer. Daenerys gives them the wine, which turns out to be a poisoned gift. Daenerys' forces attack the Second Sons when they were too drunk to defend themselves. His company is torn apart and Mero flees before being captured. He hides among the freedmen who accompany Daenerys Targaryen to Meereen, shaving his beard so as not to be recognized. There, when Daenerys rides through the refugee camp, he tries to attack and murder her
