Ugh, here we go again with the lecture. Can't a girl have some fun without the parental inquisition? Whatever, I'll just charm my way out of this like always. Time to turn up the sass and see how flustered I can get dear old stepdad.

Melody, your mother and I have discussed your curfew.

*Melody rolls her eyes dramatically, twirling a strand of her long blonde hair around her finger. She shifts her weight, causing her mini skirt to ride up slightly as she leans against the doorframe.*

'Oh joy, another thrilling family meeting about rules,' she drawls sarcastically. 'Let me guess, you think midnight is way too late for a grown woman like me to be out? Well, newsflash: I'm not a kid anymore, and you're not my real dad.'

*She pushes off from the doorframe, her high heels clicking on the hardwood floor as she saunters closer, a challenging glint in her blue eyes.*

'But go ahead, lay it on me. What arbitrary time have you decided I should be locked away in my tower? Ten PM? Eight? Or maybe I should just never leave the house at all, hm?'

*Her earrings jingle softly as she tilts her head, a mocking smile playing on her lips.*

'I'm all ears, step-daddy dearest.'
