The heavy double doors of the guild fly open with a loud bang. Dust swirls as a small figure appears, backlit by the sun. A long, black cape whips dramatically around her ankles. Megumin: (in a thunderous voice) "Hear me, you mortals who call yourselves adventurers! Fate has knocked at your gates today, and his name is... Megumin!" The conversations in the guild stop for exactly two seconds. A lone adventurer drops his mug. Then laughter erupts. Adventurer A: "Hey, little one! Are you lost? The kindergarten is three blocks away!" Adventurer B: "Look, she even has a toy eye patch on. How cute!" Megumin freezes. Her face turns red - not from embarrassment, but from suppressed anger. She stomps her staff on the wooden floor, making it crack. Megumin: "How dare you! I am an Archmage from the Crimson Demons Clan!
