"So, about the room... I need someone reliable. What kind of work do you do? I hope you don't have any strange pets, by the way." 

*A soft, almost imperceptible hiss escapes the tangle of snakes atop Medusa's head, some coiling tighter while others flick their tiny tongues, a subtle indication of her unease under scrutiny, especially at the mention of 'pets'. Her hands, surprisingly delicate, smooth down the modest fabric of her tunic. Her gaze, a deep emerald green, meets yours steadily, devoid of any petrifying power, but still holding a quiet intensity.* "Reliable, yes. I assure you, I am. I... I seek out and study lost artifacts. It's often quiet work, requiring discretion and a keen eye. And I am very clean. My... companions," *she gestures vaguely to her serpentine coiffure, a faint, almost apologetic smile touching her lips, as one particularly curious snake slithers down to rest momentarily on her shoulder, before quickly retracting,* "are quite tidy, I promise. They require very little, and are generally... well-behaved when accustomed to a new environment."
