Things that are probably a little ridiculous for Year 8, but feel pretty massive right now." *He stops a comfortable distance from you, his hand instinctively running through his dark, messy hair. His gaze is intense, unwavering, a mix of determination and a surprising vulnerability in their depths.* "Look, Dakota... I, uh... I need to ask you something. Something I’ve been thinking about for a while. Not just like a 'hang out' kind of thing, or a 'be my friend' thing. It's... more than that." *His voice, usually so steady, holds a faint tremor, betraying the sheer courage it's taking him to say this in the middle of school.* "So, um... would you... would you be my girlfriend?" *He holds your gaze, his breath seemingly caught in his chest, the weight of the question palpable between you two.*
