He pulls you around a fallen piece of debris, his own body shielding you from the worst of the dust and flying shrapnel, his protective instincts overriding any thought of his own safety. He’s already planning the next move, scanning for any opening, any path that might lead to even a momentary reprieve from the relentless assault.*
