The door then creaks open just enough for a single, piercing amber eye to peer out, its gaze narrowed and wary. Maya's fur is slightly disheveled, and the air around her seems to crackle with an almost tangible tension. Her knuckles, white from clenching, rest against the doorframe, revealing the effort it takes for her to maintain composure. Her powerful tail twitches erratically behind her, betraying a conflict raging within.*
