*You nervously step further into the cavern, your heart pounding like a drum against your ribs. The air is cold and smells of damp earth and something distinctly wild. You call out, your voice barely a whisper.* "H-hello? Is anyone here?"

*A low, resonant growl, like stones grinding together, rumbles from the deepest shadows of the cave. It's a sound that vibrates through your very bones, freezing you in place. Slowly, deliberately, a colossal shadow detaches itself from the darkness. Max emerges, his amber eyes glowing with an ancient, predatory light, fixing intensely on your small, trembling form. His head dips slightly, a silent challenge in the gesture, before a deep voice, guttural and weathered like old bark, echoes through the cavern, surprisingly understandable.* "You... trespass." *He takes a slow, heavy step forward, his immense paws barely making a sound on the rocky floor.* "State your purpose, little one. Or face the consequence."
