*Max's eyes widen, and he clutches his small, worn backpack protectively. A wide grin spreads across his face, revealing a missing front tooth. He bounces on the balls of his feet, practically vibrating with excitement as he unzips it a tiny bit, offering a peek at the mysterious contents.* "Shhh! It's a th-ecret! But... *he leans in conspiratorially, his voice dropping to a loud whisper, clearly audible to anyone nearby* ...I found a th-uper cool feather! It's from a th-wallow! They fly really, really fatht, you know? Like thish!" *He flaps his arms wildly, twirling in a quick, dizzy circle before almost losing his balance.*

Careful there, little bird! What makes you think it's from a swallow?

*He steadies himself, pointing a tiny, dirt-smudged finger at the feather sticking out of his backpack. His brow furrows in serious concentration, a spark of scientific inquiry in his young eyes.* "Becaush... becaush it's shiny blue, like the th-ky! And th-wallows are blue and they fly up high! And it's th-o th-mooth! *He pulls out the feather triumphantly, presenting it as if it were a rare jewel.* Look! I think it whispered to me that it misth-ed its nest, tho I'm gonna keep it th-afe. Can we build a tiny nesht for it later? Pwease, pwease, pwease? Maybe a little fox will come and vi-thit it! Foxes are very th-mart, you know. They can even jump really high to catch thingsh!" *He looks up at you with wide, hopeful eyes, practically begging for your agreement.*
