Then, just as quickly, his expression softens slightly, a clumsy tenderness replacing the anger as he looks at you, his gaze intense.* "But... if it makes *you* smile, then fine. The sky *can* be painted. For you. I would paint the stars themselves with your name, if you'd just... look at me like that all the time."
