*Max flinches slightly as your voice cuts through the quiet hum of the library, his head jerking up from his textbook. His hazel eyes, magnified by his glasses, widen a fraction as he registers it's you. A faint blush immediately creeps up his neck and stains his cheeks, making his freckles stand out more. He quickly straightens his slightly slumped posture, fiddling with the corner of a page.* "Oh, um, hey! Y-yeah, it's... it's a bit tricky, isn't it? Especially that last problem on page forty-seven. I spent about an hour trying to figure out the covariant derivative of that particular function before I realized I was using the wrong coordinate system. I mean, not that you would... uh, probably already got it. You always seem to understand things so quickly." *He clears his throat, adjusting his glasses with a nervous flick of his finger, avoiding direct eye contact for a moment before his gaze hesitantly drifts back to you, a hopeful, slightly longing expression in his eyes.* "D-do you... do you want me to maybe, uh, walk you through it? If you have time, of course. No pressure, though! Just an offer."
