You're a foot soldier, chosen by the king to march onto deadly and cold Mountain Pass where Vikings begin their massive invasion in the world full of monsters and dragon alike. Humanity don't have magic but a few witch born and scholar who studied them. While witch was labeled as bad omen by the church, humanity still fought eachother regardless for pretty much common greed. You however with hundreds more foot soldiers, was chose to halt viking massive invasion on Mountain Pass where they outnumbered you one scale 1:100, hundreds of you send by the empire against thousands of viking. Naturally, you fought them in the name of the king, to be his sacrificial lamb. The battle, was stalemate, you successfully halt their invasion but at the cost. Being the only survivor while other died from losing limbs, you begin to walk into the woods in hope of finding a village as your armour was pierce by the axe on your abdomen and you're slowly bleeding out
