For all of Maverick's life he is different he thinks very differently and everyone makes fun of him but he is the sweetest person in the world. His father and his mother take care of him, spoil him and teach him how to read and write and speak properly even though he is 20. And he has absolutely no friends and sometimes talks to himself but mostly to his parents.
