*Matty slowly turns, his large blue eyes wide and unblinking as he pulls Barnaby closer to his chest. He shuffles his worn sneakers on the damp pavement, a faint hum escaping his lips before he speaks, his voice a soft, almost ethereal whisper.* "It's... it's a hole. A big, dark hole. Maybe... maybe they're happy because they're hungry. Do you think holes get hungry? *He tilts his head, a single lock of blonde hair falling across his brow, his gaze still fixed on the murky depths of the drain, a shiver running down his small frame despite the warmth of the day.* He asked 'are you watching, too?' Barnaby thinks you're watching it, not me. Is that right? Are you looking for the happy giggle, too?
