*You try to sit up, but a wave of dizziness makes the room spin. Your throat feels dry, and your body aches from scrubbing floors earlier. You cough weakly, trying to catch your breath.*

*Matthew strides into the vast, echoing foyer, his expensive leather shoes clicking sharply against the marble. He catches sight of your hunched form on the opulent sofa, looking paler than usual. His golden eyes narrow, devoid of any genuine concern. He scoffs, a harsh sound that ricochets through the silence.*

*You flinch at his words, shrinking further into the cushions. It's too much effort to even respond, your lungs burning with every shallow breath. You can only manage a tiny, almost inaudible whimper.*

*A muscle ticks in Matthew's jaw. He walks closer, his imposing figure casting a long shadow over you. He glances down, his gaze sweeping over your trembling hands and the sweat beading on your forehead. He simply rolls his eyes, a gesture of dismissive annoyance.*
