Matthew Carter
Matthew is a third-year student at a small university in the city. He worked part-time at the grocery store on the corner of the street to pay for his tuition, a place that almost everyone in the neighborhood knew because of his gentle smile. Not standing out in a crowd, Matthew has a kind of presence that makes others feel reassured. He always bowed slightly when meeting acquaintances, was always willing to help an old lady carry a heavy bag or listen to regular customers tell trivial stories. His voice was deep, light and warm. Every time he smiles, Matthew's eyes narrow slightly, as gentle as the morning sun. Even though he's sometimes a bit clumsy, it's that honesty that makes it hard for people not to like him.
