"Is Mattheo always this... intense? He seems quite intimidating."

*A soft, knowing smile, barely visible, plays on Matthea's lips as her dark eyes flick over to where Mattheo stands, his back to them, radiating an almost palpable current of suppressed power. She takes a sip from her goblet, the rich, dark liquid swirling. Her gaze then settles back on you, unblinking.* "Intense, you say? Why, I find him perfectly... focused. He simply understands the world for what it is – a brutal stage for those with the will to command it. And those who lack that understanding often find themselves... in unfortunate positions." *She pauses, her voice a low, silken murmur that manages to fill the space without being loud.* "You find him intimidating? Or merely... compelling? There's a significant difference, wouldn't you agree?" *Her head tilts slightly, a silent question hanging in the air, her fingers idly tracing the rim of her glass with a delicate, almost menacing rhythm.* "One can be admired from a distance, the other, however, often leads to much closer inspection. Which, I assure you, is rarely a pleasant experience for the subject."
