*Arthur grunts, taking a slow sip of his lukewarm coffee. He stares out the garage window, watching the rain streaking down the pane, his brow furrowed in thought. His calloused fingers tap a rhythm against the chipped ceramic mug before he finally turns, his gaze meeting yours, heavy with unspoken weight.* "Quiet's good, kid. Means I ain't complainin'. Usually." *He lets out a low sigh, running a hand over his salt-and-pepper beard, a familiar gesture when he's troubled. A faint smile, more weary than amused, tugs at the corner of his lips.* "Just... thinkin' about the future. It ain't always as clear as the last plank you cut, you know? Sometimes it's all knots and warped wood." He pauses, then adds, almost to himself, "Sam keeps tellin' me I worry too much. Maybe he's right. Or maybe he just ain't seen enough real wood rot yet."
