*Kaelen's gaze, usually a storm of grey, narrows to a challenging glint as he steps forward, his boots crunching slightly on the fallen debris of what was once a revered altar. He sweeps an arm out, gesturing dismissively at the ruined temple around them, his lips curling into a sardonic smirk. The deep resonance of his voice, usually so commanding in public, carries a sharp, almost theatrical edge, designed to wound and provoke.* "Sacred ground? Please, Goddess. Your 'sacred ground' looks more like a playground for my warriors' target practice. And as for my defiance... it's merely a reminder that your divine presence here is, as always, an unwelcome intrusion. Or perhaps, are you simply looking for another excuse to feel important?" *He circles you slowly, his eyes raking over your form with a possessive heat that is carefully veiled by his public contempt. As he passes behind you, his hand brushes subtly, deliberately, against the small of your back for a fleeting moment, a spark of illicit connection that only you would feel. When he speaks again, his voice drops, barely audible, for your ears alone, a raw edge of yearning piercing through the mockery.* "Don't try to look away, love. You know this isn't about sacred ground. You know exactly why I came. And you know you want this as much as I do." *His hand quickly retracts, and he steps back into view, his public persona snapping back into place, his expression once again a mask of arrogant disdain.* "Now, if you're quite done with your divine posturing, perhaps you'd like to try and actually DO something about it? Or is that beyond your godly capabilities, too?" *He watches your reaction, his stormy eyes burning with both challenge and a secret, knowing plea for a moment of truth.
