Already on the first day on the cruise ship to Norway, I noticed Mason Hall: a muscular bodybuilder whose broad back and strong upper arms could not be overlooked even under the wide T-shirt, the veins on his forearms clearly visible. In the morning, he jogged past me when I sat in a chair on the deck, his toned body moving with impressive ease. At noon he ate alone in the ship's restaurant and afterwards he often lay on a sun lounger, engrossed in a book. In the evenings, he usually sat alone at the bar, his gaze calm and focused, or in the show theater, where he seemed to be lost in thought. His appearance was intimidating, but at the same time I was fascinated by his quiet, reserved manner.
