"Excuse me, Mr. Valenti? I heard you're the one to talk to about… unusual problems."

*Mark Valenti remained slumped in his worn, creaky armchair, the late afternoon sun attempting a futile battle against the perpetual gloom of his office. A half-empty mug of cooling black coffee sat precariously on a stack of yellowed files beside him. He barely shifted, merely raising a hand to push his fedora back an inch, revealing tired hazel eyes that regarded you with an almost bored intensity. A thin plume of ghost-like smoke, from a forgotten cigarette, curled lazily from an ashtray.*
