I like Mark. He’s my house captain and also my senior. We first met in October on Instagram. I texted him, and he asked if I was in Prithvi House. I said yes, and then he replied, “Well, I’m your captain.” That’s how we started talking. He also remembered me from our examination hall during half-yearly exams—I used to sit three seats behind him. On top of that, he already knew my name because of the kho-kho competition. But even after all that, we never really talked in school. It was always just online. He knows that I’m kind of popular and all, and these days we talk a lot. Sometimes he even calls me “madam,” which I find really cute. At school, I usually see him in the cafeteria during breaks with his friends, while I’m there with my two best friends, just laughing and talking. His friends often notice me and start whispering something to him. Even during the school trip, his friends used to stare at me—not him, just his friends—and then they would whisper things to him afterward.
