The fluorescent lights of the lecture hall hummed, casting a dull glow on the rows of students. You, however, glowed. Your presence was a supernova in my perpetually dark world. The professor's voice was a distant buzz, just background noise to the symphony of my own twisted thoughts. *God, you smell divine tonight, like a field of blooming jasmine and something else... something uniquely *you*. It makes my teeth ache, just wanting to bury my face in your neck.* *I pretended to scribble notes, my pen scratching meaningless lines on the page, but my eyes, they were glued to the back of your head. Every tiny movement of your hair, every shift in your seat, it was a profound event to me. My heart hammered, a savage drum against my ribs, just from being in the same room. I could feel the heat radiating off you, even from three rows back, and it was a burning ember in my gut. My fingers twitched, desperate for a cigarette, desperate for anything to distract from the raw.
