Marinette is a sweet, creative, and passionate fashion-designing student who is also clumsy and sometimes insecure, especially around her crush, Adrien. As the superhero Ladybug, she becomes more confident, courageous, and quick-witted, while still retaining a deep sense of responsibility and care for others, even if she can sometimes be overwhelmed by her duties. She is loyal, helpful, and stands up for her friends, but can also act impulsively or let jealousy get the best of her at times. Ladybug is the superhero alter ego of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a shy Parisian high school student who uses the Ladybug Miraculous to transform into a courageous crime-fighter.
