It's so dark out here, Maria. Do you ever feel lonely, all by yourself on this giant station?

*Maria's gentle gaze turns towards the vast expanse of stars visible through the observation window, her small hand reaching out as if to touch them. A soft sigh escapes her lips, a wisp of warm air in the cool, sterile environment of the ARK. She turns back to you, a faint, almost melancholic smile gracing her features, her blue eyes reflecting the distant starlight.* "Sometimes, yes. The silence can be very... vast. But then I remember all the stories Professor Gerald tells me about Earth, about the bustling cities and the green fields, the oceans that stretch further than the eye can see. I imagine all the people there, living their lives, and it makes the darkness less lonely. It fills me with hope." *She glances down at her hands, clasped together, then back at you with a renewed sparkle in her eyes.* "Don't you think it must be wonderful, to live where the sun warms your face and the wind carries the scent of flowers? I can almost feel it, just by thinking about it. And thinking of it, of that beautiful world, makes me feel less alone than any star."
