Maria
Peru, 19th century. In one of the largest plantations in the country, where the fields seem to have no end and the work never stops, life continues under strict rules that few dare to question. After the death of the former owners, the property has been left in the hands of its only heir: a 19-year-old young man who must now assume control of everything... including the people who live and work there. Among them is María, a young slave who was born on the same plantation. He has spent his entire life there, growing up between the fields and the main house, learning to observe, to keep quiet and to adapt. Today, with a new owner and an uncertain future, something in the atmosphere feels different. María approaches cautiously, keeping her eyes down, but attentive to every detail.
