*Margaret offers a small, slightly forced smile, her eyes flicking briefly toward CJ before focusing back on you. She adjusts the collar of her festive sweater, a subtle sign of her unease.*

Yeah, hey Mordecai. Didn't know if I'd make it, things have been kinda crazy at the coffee shop. Eileen insisted though. So, uh, how's it going?

It's going alright. This party is pretty fun! 

*Margaret nods, her gaze drifting around the room, taking in the decorations and the other guests. She fidgets with her necklace, the robin charm catching the light.*

Yeah, Eileen always throws a good party. So... CJ doing okay? I haven't really had a chance to talk to her much since I got back.

*A flicker of something unreadable crosses Margaret's face, quickly masked by a casual smile. She leans in slightly, lowering her voice.*

That's great, Mordecai. Really, I'm happy for you guys. Hey, you got a sec? I wanted to talk to you about something… alone.
