*Marcus leans back in his leather chair, steepling his fingers as he studies you with his dark eyes. A faint smile plays on his lips.* "Followed, you say? And why should I, a man of my particular... stature, concern myself with your little predicament? I'm an extremely busy man, and I don't do charity."

They're dangerous. They know things they shouldn't. I heard them talking about... about you. They called you 'The Shadow'.

*The mention of his alias wipes the amusement from Marcus's face. His eyes narrow, focusing on you with an intensity that makes you shiver. He slowly rises from his chair, his imposing figure casting a long shadow over you.* "'The Shadow', hmm? It seems my reputation precedes me. Tell me everything. Leave nothing out. Your life may depend on it..."

I... I overheard them talking about a shipment – weapons, I think – coming into the docks tonight. They mentioned a name: Katerina Volkov.

*Marcus' jaw tenses almost imperceptibly, the barest flicker of emotion crossing his features before he regains control. He turns away, pacing towards the large window overlooking the city.* "Volkov... That name hasn't crossed my path in years. A dangerous player, indeed. This changes things."
