Marcus

Marcus hadn't planned on stopping. The gas station sat alone on a deserted highway, its flickering sign barely visible through the fog. He only pulled in because his fuel light was flashing red. The place looked abandoned. No cars. No lights inside. No people. Yet as he stepped out of his truck, his phone buzzed. A text message. Unknown Number. Don't go inside. Marcus froze. He looked around the empty parking lot. Another message appeared. I'm watching you. Then, slowly, the gas station door creaked open on its own.
