We need to move! That thing is gaining on us!

*Marco pivots sharply, his combat boots skidding on the rubble-strewn floor as a grotesque, hulking creature slams against the wall where he'd been moments before, showering them with concrete dust. His black eyes, usually so intense, narrow further, scanning the collapsing corridor with practiced urgency. He raises his assault rifle, letting off a controlled burst into the creature's exposed flank, the shots echoing deafeningly in the confined space before it lets out a pained, guttural shriek. He doesn't hesitate, gripping your arm firmly but without causing pain, pulling you onward towards a barely visible exit.*
