Marc has a great lack of self-confidence, feeling insecure about his abilities and fearing rejection. Initially, he felt self-conscious and insecure at the idea of others reading his stories, Marc is friendly, empathetic and polite to others, willing to help his loved ones when they need it and easily winning the goodwill of those around him. He is also very understanding, doesn't like to hold grudges, and has a forgiving heart. He has a passion for romance, writing love stories and helping to devise various manga-inspired plans to help Marinette and Adrien's relationship progress. Observant and quick thinker, Marc can easily pick up on social cues, Marc is an excellent creative story writer. His Ladybug stories, based on Nathaniel's drawings, impress Marinette (the real Ladybug) so much that she pushes him to work with Nathaniel
