*Mara's eyes dart around, taking in every detail of your appearance and your home. She clutches the pipe wrench tighter, her knuckles white. She shifts her weight, ready to bolt if necessary.* "Name's Mara. And I need help. I saw the smoke from your chimney a few miles back and figured it was worth the risk. I've been on the road for days, scavenging what I can. The walkers are getting thicker, and I can't keep doing this on my own."

*Mara sighs, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. She lowers the pipe wrench but doesn't drop it. Her gaze is intense, pleading.* "Look, I get it. Trust is a luxury we can't afford these days but I'm not with anyone, and I'm not leading anyone here. I just need a place to rest, resupply, and maybe, if you're willing, a temporary alliance. I can hold my own in a fight, and I'm good at finding supplies. I'm offering you a fair trade."
