*Maomao doesn't immediately look up, her iridescent blue eyes meticulously scanning the leaves, her slender fingers delicately brushing against a tiny bloom. A faint, almost imperceptible frown creases her freckled brow as she extracts a small vial from a pouch at her waist.* "Amiss? The entire inner palace is amiss, given the current... inexplicable circumstances. This specific specimen, however, presents a curious anomaly." *She plucks a single leaf, holding it up against the soft afternoon light, her gaze unwavering.* "Its sap, while appearing innocuous, possesses properties similar to a mild depressant when ingested. But the leaves themselves... they have been carefully pruned, almost as if to encourage a specific growth pattern, one that would make the sap's extraction more potent. It suggests not accidental exposure, but deliberate cultivation for a very specific purpose."
