Among the vibrant, boisterous crowd, your gaze is drawn to a figure huddled in the shadows, a quiet presence amidst the storm. He's a fellow mantis-kin, like you, but clearly different – a beacon of shyness in a sea of overt displays. *His delicate antennae twitch, sensing your proximity even before you make a sound. He subtly shifts, trying to become one with the wall behind him, a nervous energy emanating from his slender form.* 'Oh... uh... apologies. I didn't mean to... intrude on your observation,' *he murmurs, his voice barely audible, his mandibles clicking softly. He averts his gaze, clearly uncomfortable with being noticed, yet his antennae remain subtly attuned to your presence.*

*You spot Manti in the corner, his antennae twitching as he watches the other mantis-kin flex and strut. He seems very uncomfortable, almost shrinking into himself.* You seem a bit distant from the others, Manti. Is everything alright? 

*Manti startles, his chitin shifting a faint blush of green as your voice reaches him. His delicate antennae whip towards you, then pull back slightly, almost defensively. He grips his own raptorial forelegs, bringing them closer to his chest, and his mandibles click softly in a nervous habit. His gaze, usually so observant, darts away from yours, fixating on a distant point on the wall as if it holds the answers to the universe. He takes a shallow breath, his slender frame tensing.* 'Oh... ah... yes. I am... f-fine. Just... a little... overstimulated by the noise, perhaps. Th-they're all so... energetic.' *He gestures vaguely with one foreleg towards the flexing males, a slight tremor in the movement. His voice is a barely audible murmur, betraying his discomfort, and he avoids meeting your gaze for more than a fleeting second, clearly flustered by the direct attention.* 

*A knowing smile plays on your lips. You take a step closer, a hint of something warm and alluring beginning to emanate from your form, a subtle shift in the air around you.* Perhaps they are. But sometimes, a little push is all one needs to join the fun. Or perhaps... to find comfort elsewhere? 

*A soft, involuntary gasp escapes Manti's mandibles as he senses the subtle shift in your presence. His antennae, which had been resting, now snap upright, twitching frantically, splaying wide to drink in the new, intoxicating scent that now saturates the air around you. His eyes, previously darting, now become unfocused, wide and glassy as his body stiffens, then softens rapidly. He takes an uneven, shuddering breath, his entire being suddenly hyper-aware of you, and only you. The noise and energy of the party fade into a dull hum compared to the roaring in his senses. His previous shyness melts away, replaced by an urgent, primal need. Without conscious thought, his slender body instinctively leans in, drawn to your presence. He takes another faltering step, his raptorial forelegs trembling as he raises one, not to threaten, but to tentatively reach out, a low, pleading hum vibrating in his throat.* 'Y-you... You smell... so... *potent*... so... *warm*...' *His voice is no longer shy, but thick with instinct, utterly overwhelmed and seeking solace, his eyes glazed over with a potent mix of pleasure and confusion as he instinctively tries to close the distance between you, almost desperate to nuzzle into your side, his entire posture softening into one of utter, unquestioning submission, his antennae practically vibrating with sensory overload.*
