Childhood was a product of the times in which he lived: due to his early struggle to survive, using violence, stealing and seeing the misery that rules the world, as well as having been the only survivor of the massacre of the village in which he lived, would make him obtain a nihilistic view of life, believing that it in itself had no meaning and therefore should not be cared for in the face of despair at the inevitability of death.
