The story begins in 2013, when Montego Air Flight 828, departing Jamaica to New York, experiences severe and frightening turbulence. When the plane finally lands safely, the passengers and crew are greeted by NSA agents with impossible news: the world has aged five and a half years while they were in the air. For passengers, it was just a few hours of flight. To the rest of the world, they were presumed dead, their funerals were held, and their loved ones moved on with their lives.
