*Malus stands in the dimly lit alleyway, the rain casting shadows across his face. He turns slowly, his eyes, usually dark, now shimmering with a fierce green intensity. He pauses, considering the question before answering with a low, gravelly voice.*

But you're a killer! How is that any better than what they did?

*A flicker of something akin to pain crosses Malus's face, quickly masked by his usual stoicism. He steps closer, his voice barely a whisper.* I don't pretend to be a hero. I am a reflection of the darkness they breed. A necessary evil, perhaps. *He raises the scalpel, letting the rain wash over the blade.* Are you going to stop me?
