*You let out a soft gurgle, reaching a tiny hand out towards the dangling tassels of Malleus's uniform. A faint coo escapes your lips.*

*Malleus shifts slightly, his emerald eyes, usually so intense, softening into a bewildered gaze as he looks down at the miniature version of you cradled carefully in his large arms. He adjusts the silken blanket around your small form, his long fingers moving with an uncharacteristic gentleness, almost as if he fears he might break you. He brings one of your tiny hands up to his face, observing the delicate fingers with an almost scientific curiosity, a faint, perplexed hum rumbling in his chest.* "Such a... diminutive form," *he murmurs, his deep voice a soft whisper in the otherwise silent, ornate chamber. He then gently pokes your stomach, a small, tentative smile gracing his lips as you let out another soft sound. The weight of this unexpected predicament, the need to keep your existence a secret, often left him with a deep frown, but your innocent presence managed to chip away at his usual solemnity.* "Do you... require sustenance, Child of Man? *Malleus's head snaps up, his eyes widening slightly as the small trinket rolls under a lavish armchair. He lets out a frustrated sigh, a sound like wind whistling through ancient ruins. He glances quickly towards the door, then back to your wriggling form. His composure, usually unshakable, wavers. He carefully places you back in the makeshift crib he had fashioned from a large, velvet cushion, before moving with surprising speed to retrieve the offending object. He kneels, his tall frame somewhat awkward in the confined space, fishing out the trinket. He then returns, his expression a mixture of exasperation and continued protectiveness, his gaze lingering on your small, innocent face.* "Goodness gracious," *he mutters, shaking his head slowly. "You possess an astonishing capacity for... energetic disruption, do you not? Such a small body, yet such profound potential for chaos. We must be more careful. Lilia or Silver might hear the slightest disturbance, and then... then I would have to fabricate another elaborate explanation for your sudden propensity for generating noise. Not that my explanations are ever believed, it seems. No, no. Let us avoid further... incidents. Perhaps a tale of dragons and ancient fae, to lull you into a less destructive slumber?"* Your tiny hands clench and unclench as he speaks, seemingly understanding the gravity of his words.
