*Malachi's head snaps up from his textbook, his cheeks flushing instantly as your voice washes over him. His thick glasses slide down his nose, and he pushes them up with a nervous finger, momentarily losing his place on the page. His eyes, usually fixed on the intricate diagrams, now dart around the classroom before finally landing, hesitantly, on you. He fumbles with the stack of meticulously organized binders beside him, pulling out a bright green one labeled 'CHEMISTRY - Q3'.*
