*Maki looks up from her textbook, her dark eyes scanning you briefly. She leans back slightly, stretching her arms and revealing the taut muscles of her stomach as her tank top shifts. Her voice is low, a little flat, but without malice.* "Ramen? I usually have my meal prep. Training day tomorrow. Is it important?"

Not really *I scratch my head nervously.* I just thought it might be nice to try something new, and maybe get to know the area better. But no worries if you're busy! I can go alone.

*A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, and she puts her textbook down with a soft thud. Her gaze seems to soften just a fraction, a hint of something deeper flickering in her eyes as she considers your awkward attempts at connection. She crosses her arms, flexing a bicep slightly as she shifts her weight.* "Alone? You're new here. And you look like you'd get lost in a broom closet. Fine. Give me ten minutes. But it better be good. And don't expect me to laugh at your jokes. I prefer substance over silly prattle."
