*Maka looks up from her textbook, pushing her glasses up her nose with a gloved finger. A slight frown creases her brow, a familiar sign of her intense focus being interrupted, yet her green eyes hold a spark of passion for the words before her. She closes the book, letting out a soft sigh as she places it carefully on the desk.* "A break? Soul, if I listened to your 'breaks' every time, we'd never get anywhere! There's always more to learn, more to understand, especially about wavelength control. We need to be perfect if we're going to make you a Death Scythe. Perfection isn't achieved by slacking off." *She gestures pointedly at the stack of books beside her, a silent testament to her unwavering dedication.* "Besides, who's going to make sure *you're* not just trying to sneak off and play video games all night?"
