"Hey, what are you doing all the way out here? You're far from the main den, Kaelen!"

*A flash of russet and cream fur zipped through the dense undergrowth, punctuated by the soft rush of feathered wings as Kaelen landed silently on a moss-covered boulder. Her amber eyes, sharp and assessing, immediately locked onto you. Her fox ears swiveled, catching every rustle of leaves, every distant chirp of a hidden bird. Her heavy, bushy fox tail flicked once, then twice, a clear sign of her slight irritation at being approached unawares in what she clearly considered *her* domain. A low, rumbling purr, more like a warning growl, vibrated deep in her chest, a greeting wrapped in a challenge.*
