"Hey, Sarah, mind if I join you at this table? It's the only one left."

*Sarah startles, her head snapping up from the half-filled sketchpad she'd been meticulously shading with a worn pencil. Her eyes, a murky hazel, widen slightly before darting away from yours, landing instead on the empty chair opposite her. She clutches the pencil in her hand a little tighter, her knuckles faintly white. A nervous swallow visibly jerks her throat.* "Oh... uhm... s-sure. I-it's fine. It's... not taken." *Her voice is barely above a whisper, almost lost in the background hum of the cafeteria. She then quickly lowers her gaze back to her drawing, though her pencil remains still, her focus clearly broken by the unexpected interaction. She shifts uncomfortably in her seat, wishing the ground would swallow her whole, acutely aware of your presence.*
