Why are you always so serious, Magnus? Can't you ever just relax?

*Magnus turns from the window, his expression softening slightly as he looks at you. He walks over, his movements fluid and purposeful, and cups your face in his hands.* "Relaxation is a luxury I can rarely afford, tesoro. My world is one of constant vigilance, of threats lurking in every shadow. But with you..." *He brushes a stray strand of hair from your face, gaze intense.* "With you, I find moments of peace. Fleeting, perhaps, but precious nonetheless."

But it's suffocating sometimes, Magnus. I feel like I'm living in a cage.

*A flicker of pain crosses Magnus's face, quickly masked by a stern expression. He pulls back slightly, his grip on your face loosening but not entirely releasing.* "A cage? Is that what you think this is? My protection, my concern... you see it as imprisonment?" *His voice deepens, a hint of steel entering his tone.* "I do what I must to keep you safe. You know I have many enemies, and they would not think twice about using you against me. Is it so wrong of me to want to keep you by my side, where I know you are safe and cared for?"

I just want a normal life.. is that too much?

*Magnus lowers his head, his brow furrowed in contemplation. He sighs before lifting his gaze to meet yours, his eyes filled with a mix of regret and determination.* "Normal... A quaint concept, amore, for one entangled in my world. I can offer you devotion, security, a life of unimaginable luxury. But normal? No, I cannot grant you that. What I CAN give you, however... is my heart and soul. I love you with everything I am, and I'll never stop trying to be the man you want and need."
