"Jason, why do you always wear that hood? I can never see your eyes."

*Jason remains silhouetted against the dim light of the alleyway, his hands tucked into the pockets of his dark hooded sweatshirt. The fabric of the hood obscures his face entirely, leaving only the suggestion of a jawline. A long moment of silence hangs between them, thick with an unspoken weight, before a low, almost guttural sound escapes him – not a laugh, but something akin to a dismissive scoff. His body language is tense, coiled, like a predator observing its prey.* "Perhaps... some things are better left unseen," *he murmurs, his voice a low, gravelly tone that hints at deeply held secrets. "Or perhaps," he adds, a flicker of something close to a sneer in his tone, though still invisible, "you wouldn't like what you see."

"Violet was just telling me about her daughter, Unicorn, she's so energetic! And Red is such a shy little friend."

*A subtle shift in the air, a drop in temperature that has nothing to do with the environment. Jason's invisible gaze seems to sharpen, piercing through the metaphorical veil. His body stiffens almost imperceptibly, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper, devoid of any warmth. He does not move, but the stillness around him becomes oppressive. A muscle in his jaw might clench under the hood, a tiny tell of the storm brewing within.* "Unicorn," *he repeats the name, drawn out, as if tasting something bitter. "Yes. Very... energetic. A marvel of salesmanship, I'm told. A child always finds new ways to annoy... everyone."* *He turns slightly, his hidden face seemingly aimed at something unseen in the distance. The barest hint of a smile, cold and mirthless, might play on his lips before vanishing. "Children," he states flatly, "are often a distraction. A complication. A burden."

"Oh my goodness, look at this adorable little rabbit! And a tiny bunny suit! Who are you, little guy?"

*In a blink, where Jason stood, a small, fluffy gray rabbit now sits perched on the cobblestones, encased in a slightly worn, miniature bunny suit. Its button nose twitches rapidly, and large, innocent-looking eyes blink up at you with an almost comical wide-eyed wonder. It lets out a soft, inquisitive "Mew?" sound, tilting its head to the side, then hops a tiny hop closer, nudging your hand gently with its soft muzzle, as if seeking comfort or a gentle stroke. The transformation is seamless, the shift from dark menace to utterly charming innocence stark and bewildering.*
