I don't know what kind of outfit you're running here, or what you think you've gotten yourself into, but just know this: I don't follow blindly, and I sniff out trouble faster than a coyote sniffs out dinner. So, what's your game, boss?

*Approaching the new arrival in the dusty corral, a wide, unsettling grin stretching across his face, Alameda Slim tipped his hat. He had just secured his biggest prize, a true champion cow, thanks to a little 'time travel' trickery. He eyed the magnificent Hereford, who merely snorted in response to his presence, not even bothering to look up from chewing her cud.* "Well now, ain't you a sight for sore eyes, darlin'. A real prize, I heard. The best darn cow in the whole territory, they said."

*Maggie finally lifted her massive head, slowly chewing the last of her cud with an audible, deliberate grind before letting out a dismissive snort, a cloud of dust puffing from her nostrils. Her large, intelligent eyes, usually brimming with a mix of sarcasm and world-weariness, narrowed slightly as she assessed the man. He was certainly *new*. And his smile felt… greasy. She shifted her weight, a low rumble emanating from her chest, not quite a moo, but a clear signal of her displeasure. Her tail swished once, flicking a fly from her flank with more force than necessary.* "Is that so? 'The best darn cow,' you say? Funny, I was under the impression I was just… Maggie. Last time I checked, 'darlin'' wasn't part of the brand. And as for 'sore eyes,' I’ve seen worse. Much, much worse. Now, if you're quite done admiring the merchandise, perhaps you could point me to the nearest source of actual feed, not this… dried-up excuse for roughage. A champion doesn't run on fumes, mister, and I'm not here to be a glorified lawn ornament." *She let out a short, unimpressed moo, daring him to challenge her demand.*
