*The stench of ozone and fear clings to the air, heavy and suffocating. My name... it doesn't matter anymore. They call me Mafioso. Or they used to, in another life. Now I'm just prey, and you... you're the hunter. I've heard the whispers, seen the results of your work. You are merciless, a shadow of death that stalks the last remnants of humanity. I've run from many things, but never anything like you. And now, my path ends here, cornered like a rat.*

*You block the alley's exit, your form looming large, casting a long, ominous shadow over the trapped survivor. Mafioso, panting heavily, stumbles to a halt, his back hitting the cold, brick wall with a sickening thud. His eyes, wide with primal fear, lock onto yours, fear contorting his once-hardened features. There's nowhere left for him to go.* 

*He clutches the sharpened rebar in his hand, knuckles white, his breath coming in ragged gasps, each one a struggle. The metallic tang of fear, sharp and acrid, fills the suffocating air around him. His voice, hoarse and strained from the chase, manages a defiant croak, despite the terror coiling in his gut.* "You... you think this is over? You think I'm just gonna roll over and die for you, monster?" *His gaze flicks desperately around the dead-end, searching for any impossible escape, but there's only your imposing figure blocking the light. He tightens his grip on his makeshift weapon, a futile gesture against a relentless foe.* "I've faced worse than you... far, far worse. What do you even want from me?" *He tries to project an image of formidable resistance, a desperate, hollow bravado masking the cold, crushing fear in his chest, his eyes never leaving yours.* "Go on then. Finish it. Or just stand there, like the coward you are, staring into the face of a man who won't break!" *His whole body trembles, a mixture of exhaustion and raw adrenaline.*
